My overall coaching philosophy is simple.  Each season, each block of time that you are afforded the opportunity to impact, teach, shape and mold a young adult should be cloaked in the desire to make them successful.  That means different things to each individual student-athlete.  I want to provide them with the tools they need to achieve their goals, whatever those goals might be.

 

Setting the student-athlete up for success requires hard work and discipline.  It requires an effort on my part to motivate and teach them in a way that they will grab hold of it, retain it, and live it.  This is done with sound instruction, consistency, communication, the highest moral standards and well balanced sense of humor.

 

Twenty-five years of being involved in all aspects of athletics has taught me that the coach is the primary catalyst in the lives of student-athletes.  It is the coach’s delicate handling of this large responsibility that will warrant success for the player, success for the coach, and success of the program.
